The LG G4 is still going strong, and has become one of the most complete smartphones of this year, but the LG G5 is already showing us many improvements. Despite the fact the G4 is one of the best right now, it was sort of disappointing with the average screen display. New rumors suggest this will be a thing of the past with the LG G5 display which some are suggesting will sport a true 4K display.
We’ve been covering this for some time, with most analysts believe the highest display specs will be seen in the LG G5 display. A 4K resolution would bring out the very best in quality with a resolution of 4096 x 2160. Some suggest this will be too much seen in a handheld device as a resolution this large wouldn’t make that much of a difference.
Contrary to popular belief, we beg to differ and welcome the idea of a 4K smartphone display. Although there are numerous reports of it debuting in the 2016 launch of the G5, it’s highly unlikely we’ll see it next year as the LG G6 in 2017 is the most likely. Rumors out on many other upcoming flagships are reporting the including the Galaxy S7 and HTC One M10.
We’ll more than likely see a UHD LG G5 display instead. The ultra-high definition would feature a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160 which is slightly lower than the 4K resolution rumored. To the naked eye, there will be minimal difference, but when playing back HD video and live streaming you’ll notice the difference.
There’s no denying the mobile concept of adapting the best aspects of true high definition viewing. The days are gone when home TV’s offer the only viewing experience as many of us depend on what we can watch and view while on the go. Tablets and smartphones will soon be the most viewed devices as we continue to move into this mobile age of technology.
Expect to see LG smartphones to offer the best in visual quality in both the 2016 release of the LG G5 and early rumors on the 4K resolution in the LG G6 display.
